STOCKHOLM ART EXHIBITION
In 1897 there was a big art and industry exhibition on Djurgården in Stockholm that was showing new inventions/bulidings/art. This exhibition on prime location on Kungsgatan 7 is a 300 m2 tribute to the Stockholm exhibition 1897 with focus on art, ceramics, design and crafts with a Stockholm theme and will show about 25 artists.
Except the > 40 paintings and ceramics, furniture design, accessories, there will be real souvenirs from the original exhibition of 1897 from a collector that will be avaible to buy and see. Other things as a magnificiant drawing of a building that is an interpretation version as in this invite, inspired by the 1897 exhibition made by an 18 year old prodigy. There will also be a painting that is recently made as a copy of an original painting made by Karin Larsson, wife of Carl Larsson. The painting is a portrait of one of the first persons with African decent, named Pierre Louis Alexandre that lived in Stockholm in the late 1800's and was a model for the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts and was portrayed by all of the later famous artists such as Zorn, Verner Åkerman etc.
